The SG Series is a sanitary double window sight glass allowing easy viewing into the flowing media. It features a large viewing area, full bore design as well as a metal stop which helps to provide ideal O-ring compression and prevents the glass from being damaged by pipe torque.

Applications

Common applications for the device include within the food and beverage or health and beauty industries for use in processes including purified water.

Body and materials

A mechanical internal finish of SF5 20 Ra μin (0,5 μm) comes as standard with the option for this to be electropolished. The body is constructed from 316L stainless steel and borosilicate has been selected for the glass. End connections are Tri-clamp compatible with the end fittings being made from 316L stainless steel.

Seals include EPDM, Viton and Silicone and all seals are FDA USP Class VI approved.

Temperature and pressure ranges

The maximum temperature is dependent on the seals selected but can be as high as 205°C and the minimum as low as -60°C. Pressure ratings of the SG series goes up to 145 psi (10 bar) and it is suitable for CIP and SIP.
